The Blended Learning approach

The Blended Learning approach is a bunch of methods such as readings, simulations, lectures and so on that allows students to learn, but maybe the keyword in this article would be technology. Because technology is what we call the cornerstone when it comes to education nowadays, even more in this pandemic situation.

There are some advantages that students can get from this approach, these advantages are known as 6ps, namely: participation, personalization, pacing, preparation, place, personal interaction. There are important subjects to have in mind in this Blended Learning approach. For instance, the importance to prepare classes not just for synchronous but also for asynchronous sessions. Because is important to deliver knowledge for students all the time, not just in the live session.

A sensitive point in this approach, is the knowledge that teachers need to have managing this platforms. Is important to acquire this knowledge before to deliver the class. But from my point of view, is also important to pick up just a few. To try to use all of them can be bored and demanding too much time from teacher.

All things considered, Blended Learning is here and we need to become techno-teachers. Is the best way to deliver knowledge to this new generation and deliver benefits such as: research, script writing, collaboration (the most important),creativity expression, presentation, resource selection, technical skill development,

voice-overs.
